Pre and Post PMU and Tattoo Removal Care Guidelines

Preparation:

  • Refrain from consuming alcohol, caffeine, pre-workouts, or blood thinners like ibuprofen or aspirin 24 hours before your appointment.

  • Avoid exercising on the day of your appointment.

  • Protect your skin from sunlight or tanning beds for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

  • Do not undergo facials, chemical peels, micro-needling, laser treatments, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks leading up to your appointment.

  • Avoid using anti-acne or anti-aging products on the area to be treated for 2 weeks before your procedure.

  • Refrain from getting fillers or Botox near the treatment area for 4 weeks before your appointment.

  • If you have taken Accutane, ensure it has been discontinued for at least a year prior to your service.

Aftercare:

  • First 7 days: Use saline wound care solution or pads and gently pat the brows 3-4 times a day.

  • After the first week: Allow the brows to heal naturally without applying any products.

  • Throughout the 2-week healing period:

    • Avoid applying makeup on the treated brows.

    • Refrain from picking, scratching, or rubbing the area.

    • Minimize sweating (you can exercise lightly but avoid excessive sweating, saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs).

    • Limit sun exposure and use shower visors to prevent water exposure on the brows.

    • Avoid sleeping on your brows.

    • Remain patient and avoid unnecessary stress during the healing process.

  • After 2 weeks and scabs are fully healed: Apply vitamin E oil at night weekly until your next appointment.
